Poker schooling is a term used for the action of an inexperienced and weak poker player that allows him to defend himself during a poker game. The next round shows and ace and a five. This is not so great, but you place a bet anyways to see what’s coming on. All the six opponents call the bet. In this case it’s normal to think of checking, just to finish the round. But, miraculously, the next card showed is a Ace. You place a $10 bet on the table, where there’s already $70.

Because you’ve exaggerated a bit, let’s exaggerate some more and assume that you opponents have KQ, KJ , 4-3 and 3-2. Out of all the 34 left cards in the package, only two can made out of each adversary a winner. If the first of the six is equaling your about to be placed bet, he is not making a knock out bet, but a poker scholar bet. If the others are folding, as they should be, there’s no doubt you’re going to win. But they also place bets, then an estimate will be hard to evaluate.

Regarding the fact that in this assumed game many important things already happened, it’s normal to think that at least one of the 6 players have in hand the two cards there are missing. This is why you will be tempted to fold, and you will lose a poker game you should’ve won.

Schooling games offer good poker players two main methods of playing winning poker: either by playing the best made poker hand, or by playing the best served poker hand. You can make more money per total, but you have to make sure that your game can adapt to obtain a profit out of both alternatives.
